Highways &

Transport

We recognised the synergies between mainstream security and the highway and transport sectors’ delivery requirements, not least the value of the assets we’re all looking to protect – people, property and assets. This led to the creation of our dedicated Highways & Transport Division.

Our work with clients such as National Highways, Eurovia, Balfour Beatty, Kier and Core Highways Group has proven where we can provide enhanced support on highways and wider transport related projects for contractors and transport authorities.

We are committed to increasing and maintaining the safety of those working on the highway and transport networks, including in compounds and depots, whilst at the same time looking at how technology can be used to reduce human interaction with highway and transport assets.

Our technology is regularly used as an active safety measure, whether that be monitoring in temporary traffic management or on fixed infrastructure.

We are Associate Members of The Traffic Management Contractors Association (TMCA)

As an associate member, we actively align our services with TMCA’s values, ensuring our security and site management solutions complement the wider traffic management industry. Whether it’s supporting infrastructure works, construction projects, or road safety initiatives, our partnership with the TMCA reinforces our dedication to best practice, continuous improvement, and delivering trusted services nationwide.

Technology Tower

The inView Highway Technology Tower is a cutting-edge mobile CCTV solution designed specifically for highways, infrastructure projects, and roadside works. Built to withstand demanding environments, this rapidly deployable tower provides 24/7 surveillance, acting as both a powerful deterrent to criminal activity and a vital tool for monitoring safety on live highways and construction sites.

PPE Monitoring and

Compliance

Ensuring workers consistently wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential for maintaining safety, reducing risks, and meeting health and safety regulations on construction, industrial, and infrastructure sites. PPE such as helmets, high-visibility clothing, gloves, and protective footwear is critical for safeguarding workers, but enforcing compliance across large or busy sites can be challenging.

Clearway’s PPE Monitoring and Compliance solutions use advanced video analytics and AI-driven technology to automatically detect whether staff and contractors are wearing the correct safety gear. Real-time alerts are generated when non-compliance is identified, allowing supervisors to act immediately and prevent potential accidents.

inSite Wearable Safety

Devices

The inSite Wearable Safety Devices are innovative, lightweight technologies designed to enhance worker protection in high-risk environments such as construction, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Worn by employees, these smart devices continuously monitor activity and detect critical safety incidents such as falls, impacts, fatigue, or exposure to hazardous conditions. In the event of an incident, the system sends instant alerts to supervisors, enabling rapid response and reducing the severity of potential accidents.

  • Real-Time Protection – Detects falls, impacts, fatigue, and hazardous exposure instantly.

  • Instant Alerts – Notifies supervisors immediately for rapid response and reduced risks.

  • Enhanced Compliance – Generates detailed reports for audits, insurance, and health & safety regulations.

  • Workforce Accountability – Encourages safer behaviour and strengthens site safety culture.

AI Powered Littering

Detection Solution

Illegal littering and fly-tipping pose serious risks to the environment, public safety, and property management, often leading to costly clean-ups and potential legal liabilities. Clearway’s AI Powered Littering Detection Solution provides a smart, proactive way to tackle the problem by automatically identifying incidents of waste disposal in real time. Using advanced video analytics and artificial intelligence, the system can detect and flag individuals or vehicles involved in littering, triggering instant alerts for immediate response.

Beyond prevention, this solution supports enforcement and compliance by capturing high-quality evidence that can be used to issue fines, pursue legal action, or deter repeat offenders. Ideal for public spaces, highways, construction sites, and commercial premises, the AI system helps reduce clean-up costs, protect the environment, and maintain a safe, professional image. By combining intelligent detection with rapid response, Clearway’s littering solution empowers organisations and local authorities to effectively manage waste-related risks and uphold environmental responsibility.

Highways CCTV

Highways and roadside works are particularly vulnerable to risks such as theft, vandalism, trespassing, and safety breaches. Clearway’s Highways CCTV solutions are designed to provide round-the-clock monitoring and protection across road networks, infrastructure projects, and temporary worksites. With rapidly deployable mobile CCTV towers and fixed high-definition cameras, our systems act as a powerful visual deterrent while ensuring every incident is captured in real time. Built to withstand harsh weather and remote environments, these solutions deliver reliable surveillance where traditional systems are difficult to install.

  • Fixed CCTV Cameras – Permanently installed high-definition cameras positioned along highways or at key junctions for continuous monitoring.

  • Mobile CCTV Towers – Rapidly deployable towers with 360° coverage, ideal for temporary works, construction sites, or remote locations.

  • PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) Cameras – Flexible cameras that can be remotely controlled to zoom in, pan across, or tilt for close monitoring of incidents.

NSI Gold Monitoring

Station

our security services are underpinned by our NSI Gold Cat II Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), a high-security monitoring hub that operates 24/7, 365 days a year. This ensures continuous vigilance and peace of mind for clients nationwide .

As a fully accredited NSI Gold monitoring station, the ARC meets the most rigorous UK industry standards, with independent audits verifying our quality management, staff training, and professional service delivery  Whether monitoring CCTV systems, intruder alarms, fire alarms, panic alarms, or environmental sensors, our trained personnel are equipped to react swiftly and effectively to security and safety threats

The ARC supports a broad range of security technologies — from temporary wireless alarms to fixed CCTV installations — across varied sectors, including construction sites, highways, vacant properties, retail premises, and public buildings

Stopped Vehicle

Detection

The inView Stopped Vehicle Detection system—based on Navtech Radar’s ClearWay technology—automatically identifies stationary vehicles on highways or in tunnels within 10 seconds of stopping, regardless of lighting or weather conditions (rain, fog, glare, smoke, day or night). This rapid detection allows control-room operators to react swiftly—closing lanes, alerting drivers via signage, deploying emergency services—dramatically reducing the risk of secondary incidents and enhancing road safety

Crucially, the system leverages 360° radar coverage along a stretch of roadway or tunnel (up to 1 km per radar), offering comprehensive surveillance without reliance on lighting or video feed  This radar-based approach ensures low false-alarm rates—even in poor visibility—and supports additional functionalities such as monitoring wrong-way drivers, debris, pedestrians, and collecting valuable traffic data like vehicle counting and classification

Incursion Monitoring &

Detection

Highways and construction zones are high-risk environments where unauthorised vehicle access, or incursion, can put workers, drivers, and valuable assets in serious danger. Clearway’s Incursion Monitoring & Detection solutions are designed to immediately identify and respond to vehicles entering restricted areas, hard shoulders, or closed lanes. Using advanced radar, CCTV, and AI-powered analytics, the system detects unusual or dangerous movements in real time and triggers instant alerts to traffic management teams and control centres.

This proactive monitoring allows for a rapid response — from activating warning signs and barriers to dispatching emergency services — reducing the likelihood of accidents, delays, and costly disruptions. Alongside safety, incursion detection also supports compliance with highways regulations and provides valuable incident data for audits, investigations, and risk management. By combining cutting-edge detection technology with 24/7 monitoring, Clearway ensures workforces and road users remain protected against the dangers of unauthorised or unexpected vehicle incursions.

Air Quality Monitoring

Air quality has a direct impact on health, safety, and compliance, particularly in construction, industrial, and urban environments where dust, emissions, and pollutants can quickly exceed safe levels. Clearway’s Air Quality Monitoring solutions provide real-time, accurate measurement of pollutants such as particulate matter (PM2.5, PM10), nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, and other harmful gases. By continuously tracking air quality, our systems enable organisations to identify risks early, protect workers and the public, and ensure projects remain compliant with environmental and health regulations.

Concrete Road Barriers

Concrete road barriers are a cornerstone of effective site security and traffic control, especially on construction zones, highways, and sensitive property perimeters. Clearway offers robust, precast concrete barriers designed to prevent unauthorized vehicular access, protect workers and public safety, and maintain clear site boundaries. These highly durable structures serve as both a physical and visual deterrent, safeguarding against theft, vandalism, and accidental incursions into restricted areas.
